Stranger

I stand quietly in the corner

Ignoring all but watching them

A nod, a wave or even some small talk

I don’t mind, with my plastered on smile

But you, yes you, what’s up with you?

What do you make me to be?

Are you so arrogant, that you just walk on by

Am I invisible? Don’t you see me?

Are my clothes dirty? Something on my face?

Why won’t you wave or smile sweet?

Why should I care what you think of me

Right annoyed, is this the way to treat?

I laugh at myself get annoyed too

A stranger you are, aren’t you?

What do you care, I live or die

But you should, shouldn’t you?

No you shouldn’t and no I shouldn’t

Expectations galore, need to stop

Bye stranger, stay a stranger

Walk away, don’t look back.
